Xaverian among top students recognized for excellence in Math

by: Mr. Mark Quitco, Math Department Chairperson

The Philippine Mathematical Olympiad is the oldest and considered to be the most prestigious nationwide mathematics competition among secondary school students. This year, their contest format took a slight tweak given the current pandemic. Nevertheless the Mathematical Society of the Philippines CALABARZON Chapter have recognised students who qualified for the top 50 for the PMO under the Luzon Area (CAR, Region I, Region II, Region III, Region IV-A, Region IV-B, Region V) which includes our very own Noel Stephen Dequito of grade 10A.

As a token of appreciation and achievement in this recent event, Stephen along with 22 other students from Region IV-A were commended and will be sent medals by the Mathematical Society of the Philippines CALABARZON Chapter which has been a tradition over the past 8 years.

Congratulations, Stephen, for continuing to flourish during this extraordinary year! Luceat Lux!
