Re:        Closing Ceremonies and Graduation Ceremonies

———————————————————————————————————————

Fully cognizant of the current public health emergency due to the COVID-19 outbreak, yet still nurturing the desire to give students and their families the opportunity to experience the ceremonies scheduled for March 13 (Kindergarten and Grade 1), March 17 (Grade 10) and March 20 (Grade 6 and Grade 12), I would like to announce that the ceremonies will proceed as scheduled, assuming that no suspension of classes will be declared. Please take note of the following guidelines and precautionary measures:

  1. Students with household members with travel history to any country with confirmed cases of the COVID-19 14 days prior to the closing ceremonies/graduation date should be on self-quarantine and therefore should not attend the ceremonies.
  2. Parents are requested to minimize the number of family members attending the Mass and ceremonies, and to discourage grandparents who are senior citizens from attending. Ideally, each student should have only two guests.
  3. Temperature checks will be implemented at the access points to the Ramon S. Ang Gymnasium. We ask for your patience and cooperation.
  4. Seating arrangements will be spaced out to allow for some distance among attendees.
  5. The venue and all furniture to be used will be disinfected a short time before the ceremonies begin.
  6. Hand sanitizers will be available at the access points and at strategic locations inside the Oratory of St. Francis Xavier and John Tiu Ka Cho Multi-Purpose Center for everyone’s use.

If the local government declares a suspension of classes, the Kindergarten and Grade 1 Closing Program, Grade 6 and Grade 10 Closing Ceremonies will be cancelled.

The Grade 12 Graduation will proceed if at least half of the batch will be in attendance. A separate email to confirm participation will be sent to the Gr. 12 parents.

We request parents to observe utmost vigilance. Those nursing a cold or any other ailment must stay home for their own good and that of the community.

I enjoin all to prioritize health and safety. Eat and sleep properly to keep your immune system strong, and don’t risk exposing yourselves and your loved ones to impurities in public places.

Thank you very much, and let us be united in prayer at this extraordinary time.
