Xavier School Nuvali Update,
17 Jan 2020, 5:15pm:

Cleanup operations have been ongoing on campus since Tuesday, and we are very grateful to the volunteers and agency personnel who have been working continuously. Special thanks to the Marikina Volunteer Fire Brigade for sending their fire truck and volunteers to hose down our roads and buildings after the ash was collected and set aside.

The campus and surrounding roads are not yet completely ash-free, and there is a smell of sulfur in the air. Since Alert Level 4 is still in place at Taal Volcano, and more time is needed to normalize the campus environment, classes will continue to be suspended until Friday, January 24.

A circular will be released soon to provide instructions for distance learning arrangements starting next week. Materials will be sent via email or Google Classroom. We are committed to helping all students complete the requirements for the current school year.

Faculty and staff will report to school starting Friday, January 24, 8am to 3pm.

For information regarding the activities affected by the cancellation of classes from January 13-17, please see this circular.

Other special announcements will be made as we adapt to the evolving situation of our environment. Let us all continue praying for and supporting each other, and do what we can to help those more adversely affected by the volcanic eruptions.
