All the hardwork and sacrifices of the players and coaches has paid off as the City of Calamba Grade School emerged Champions in the recently concluded Dep-Ed Provincial Meet held at the Sta Cruz Laguna Sports Complex last December 2-8, 2018.
The City of Calamba Grade School Football team was favored to win the Championship trophy right after the elimination rounds, showing skills and grit harnessed by joining different tournaments and intense school and club training. The team emerged victorious with a clean slate: no losses and no goals conceded during the entire tournament.
Elimination Round:
Calamba City 8 – 0 San Pablo City
Calamba City 6 – 0 Province of Laguna
Semifinals Match:
Calamba City 10 – 0 Cabuyao City

The City of Calamba Grade School Football boys is led by Coach Aber John Ruzgal, with his Assistant Coaches Angelo Espela and Arlene Legaspi.
This is another achievement for the Xavier Nuvali Football Team considering that the Football varsity program is only on its 2nd year. The support of Xavier Nuvali Administration to its Football Program and it Student Athletes from the start of this journey is a big factor for this victory. We hope the team will continue to bring honor to the school and wish them luck as they prepare for the Southern Tagalog CALABARZON Athletic Association meet, and hopefully they reach Palarong Pambansa.
Congratulations and Luceat Lux!
