Xavier School Nuvali Partners with URC and Robinsons Supermarket’s Juan Goal for Plastic
During the Xavier School Fair held last February 11-12, 2023 at Xavier School San Juan campus and February 18, 2023 at the Xavier School Nuvali campus, we partnered with Universal Robina Corporation (URC) and Robinsons Supermarket, in their plastic waste collection initiative, Juan Goal for Plastic, to promote awareness on environmental protection through recycling of plastic wastes. Together with URC’s Juan Goal for Plastic, we engaged our community to dispose of our PET plastic bottles properly, to become more fluent in plastic segregation and recovery, and to practice more sustainable habits.
A total of 48.25 kgs of PET bottles were collected: 25.75 kgs from the San Juan campus and 22.5 kgs from the Nuvali campus. These collections will be given to the URC partner institutions for recycling and repurposing.
Together, let us love and protect our Mother Earth!
Help the school take care of our service personnel, scholars and their families, and Qualimed Hospital HCW.
The school starts resumption of classes with reorientation of emergency protocols among other activities.
The Learning Resource Center encourages Kindergarten to Grade 5 students to join the summer reading program to prevent "summer slide." A list of recommended print and digital readings, along with a reading log and guide questions, is provided. Students can access e-books via their World Book Online login. Summer reading will be part of the First Trimester book talk for SY 2025–2026.
